In this life, bumps, bruises, and bandages are inevitable. Some wounds are more serious than others. In childish playful abandon, we scrape our knees and bruise our elbows. But other deeper wounds always come.
Some wounds are so deep they never completely mend. We mask the pain by building protective barriers.
Each of us, no matter how happy we are now, is also hurting at some level. Our souls are aching. Sometimes the ache grows until it threatens to consume all hope. Then, someone’s kindness changes everything—restoring hope.
Kindness never wounds. Let’s heal with kindness instead of adding to the ache.
Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.—Ephesians 4:32 (NLT)
